What Vocalists Sing and Play Lead Guitar Simultaneously?
Well here’s a question I just had to answering straight away:
Question: Lol i just think its a very hard thing to do . I’m thinking in rock/metal, the leads seem pretty tough as is, having to sing the song correctly (in emphasis not words i mean). I’d like to know of any rock metal bands that do this.
I was listening to some Dokken and thinking it would be cool if Don played like Lynch used to as he sang, it’d be fkin awesome. (80’s metal band)
anyways, if anyone knows any…give me a holler 
after ther "emphasis" sentance i forgot to add in, would be even tougher, and i envy people like that

Nickelback does that live and they sound awesome.
I’m not sure if you’d consider these guys rock, but they’re all better musicians than 98% of the rockers/metalheads. The guys I’m talking about are the blue guitarists like BB King, Clapton, Buddy Guy, Johnny Lang, John Mayer, etc etc.
They’re all amazing guitarists and sing as well. And Jerry Cantrell is definitely rock. He has some solo stuff where he does lead vocals and guitar, but he also sang lead on some of Alice In Chains stuff too.
There are loads, such as Chuck Berry, Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton. Also, loads of three piece bands have a guitarist that sings, like Muse, Nirvana and Biffy Clyro.
