Answer: The first and in the opinion of many (including me) best major heavy metal band to have two lead guitarists was Judas Priest, who also happen to be my favourite band of all time partly for that reason. K.K. Downing and Glenn Tipton are great guitarists and could easily have been big on their own but together they are legendary. Listen to Priest’s classic songs such as Painkiller or Electric Eye to hera the amazing effect it has.
Also, whilst AC/DC usually lists Angus Young as lead guitar and Malcolm Young as rhythm, Malcolm does often play lead too, for example in Whole Lotta Rosie.
