Some Lead Guitar Ideas?

What a great lead guitar question:

Question: hey anyone got any ideas of some good lead guitar chord patterns that are rocky and simple?
Answer: First Learn all the positions of the pentatonic scales, both major and minor, and also the blues scales. Then play them throughout all the fingerboard. Then join them, that you make the same scale in many different positions. When you are good in them, improvise on them and with practice you will play good solos. Use your creativity and imagination to improvise.

There is also the C A G E D system. If you like these are bar chords which go throughout the fingerboard and have a 2 octaves scale in them. Search the net about this system for information.

    practice the basics first, pentatonic licks. Try a guitar magazine like Total Guitar, they sometimes have backing tracks for you to play over
