Is Bass Guitar,lead/rhythem Guitar Easy to Learn?

What a great lead guitar question:

Question: Basically, I record my own death metal drums and vocals, and would really like to learn bass guitar and rhythem/lead guitar so I could edit it together and make a one man song. Any links or YouTube channels you could suggest would be great too. Thanks in advance.
Answer: Bass guitar is probably easiest to learn for somebody who has never played a melody instrument before, but rhythm guitar is the most versatile – you can perform a song with nothing but a strummed guitar and a voice. Lead guitar is what many people aspire to, but you’ll be one lonely musician if lead is all you can play and you’re not in a band. My advice? Get a six-string and learn some chords. For the moment, get a friendly bass player to play on your recordings, but take note of what he or she plays, and ask for advice. If you have an ear for it (I did) you will soon be able to work out bass lines on the bottom strings of your guitar. Buy a bass, and that’s your one-man band nearly completed. Lead guitar is the icing on the cake, but great if you can learn it. I have to say that after 35 years of playing and recording, lead guitar still eludes me. Oh, and I can’t sing or play the drums either.
