In the Beatles Did George Harrison Write His Own Lead Guitar Parts or Did John and Paul Write It for Him?

What’s this week’s question? Let’s dive straight in…

Question: In the Beatles Did George Harrison Write His Own Lead Guitar Parts or Did John and Paul Write It for Him?
Answer: He made his own guitar rhythms, at time he had help from the other beatles. On one of my beatles books, it says John wanted George to play his guitar solo in Let It Be. But George said no, cause he made his own solo for the song, and it was a great solo. John wasn’t close as good to guitar as him.

I think it was either John and George or John and Paul.

None of the Beatles could either read or write music.Wonder what they could have
accomplished if they had been able to.www.beatles.com

People don’t really write lead parts, they are improvised.

  4. Colin Wholigan says:

Generally,I believe that Lennon or McCartney wrote it for him!

The difference being that John was more flexible where working on his songs was concerned, meaning that if George had an idea or a suggestion for a guitar part,John would listen to him and go from there!

Now,Paul,on the other hand, well once he had an idea fixed in his head of how he wanted his songs to be,would never deviate from that idea.

This was why(especially from 1965 to end of the band)he typically did his own lead guitar parts.

Example given the the Sgt Pepper title track,George spent 7 hours recording it,only for it all to be scrapped and for Paul to just do it himself!
