I Recorded Lead Guitar Tracks Which Went into Songs, Put on 2 Cds, and Now the Band I'm No Longer in Is?

What’s this week’s question? Let’s dive straight in…

Question: having a reunion with a couple of different members, and is selling those cds, I saw them as recently as Nov.14th ,2010, on Ustream. Has anyone out there ran into this? I need to protect my lead guitar parts. I think this was a "joint work", but would be difficult for them to understand that. Open for valid solutions!

Unless you are credited as songwriter, you have no rights to your recorded performance, monetary or artistic, unless you have a legal document stating otherwise. Sorry.

As the bloke above me said, unless you’ve got something in writing, there’s a good chance the others stole in. Next time be more careful. We’ve had the same problem here in Australia.
