Douse Anyone Use a Guitar Lead for a Switchcraft Microphone?
We’ve had a reader question come in on the subject of lead guitar. Let’s take a look:
Question: I just got a new harmonica microphone that had a switchcraft guitar lead adapter and was thinking if I should just get a guitar lead or a switchcraft to XLR adapter and use a normal microphone lead. what would you lot say is the best thing to do. Thanks
Answer: Microphone cables (with XLR connectors) carry balanced signals. Guitar cables (and those used for harmonica microphones) do not. If you’re going to send the signal from that microphone straight into a PA or something, you need a DI.
Personally, I like the Countryman 85. They’re a bit pricey, but they sound incredible.

AMAZING!I like this one.
