At a Concert Which is Louder, the Rhythm or Lead Guitar?

This week’s question is as follows:

Question: Honestly I don’t know and I can’t tell but my guess is lead is louder than rhythm but I could be wrong.
Answer: For the most part, the volumes are generally equal. A lead guitarist may use a pedal or something similar to boost the frequencies to cut through the mix, and, therefore seem louder. However, generally speaking, the two are equal.

I’d go for the lead. Seems obvious. Especially during solo’s, eh.

It changes depending on the song, but usually rhythm and lead are around the same volume, and lead gets louder during solos.

most bands play at the same level unless one guitarist has a big ego/more popular or when one goes into a solo.
