Am I the Only One Tired of Hearing Blues and Metal Lead and Licks when You're Trying to Learn Guitar ? Lol?

What a great lead guitar question:

Question: SO I recently bought an acoustic and a strat for use in my productions for pop, R&B, and hip hop. I in no way plan to skip over learning my blues, pentatonic, major/minor scales, etc. But there is almost no other tutorials for any other genre of guitar playing other than blues, jazz, and country.

I have to resort to watching bad quality tutorials of kids in their bedroom teaching me how to play a specific babyface song or whoever did "Cupid" by 112 lol. I want to play like guitarist on R Kelly tracks, contemporary R&B tracks or anything made in the last decade. I know that all those playing styles have foundation in these genres that I can’t stand, but I would like to see more dedicated guitarists breaking down modern guitar playing and showing the differences between the old school playing and the new twists they add in today’s music.

I know gospel/R&B session guitarists but they’re always busy and in different sessions outside of Atlanta lol So I want to learn as much as I can myself.

P.S> If you feel the need to tell me to just listen to my favorite songs and imitate, or to take guitar lessons,..please refrain lol I’m just hopefully looking for people to point me in the right direction on the internet to a place where I might obtain this information that I might not have looked at before.

Answer: hmmm, lets see what i can find…

Now I’ll hip you to something that holds a future.
When the black population of Chicago reached three million the Chess brothers were runnin’ a club on the south side called, "The Flamingo". The were groovin’ on the black cats that ‘ol Sam Phillips sent them from Memphis. They started, Chess Records". (and Checker-remember Chuck Berry?) What these guys saw was an "untapped market". Now, think of the Hispanic population in and around Atlanta. I live in Newnan, GA., A little south of the airport. Now these people are addin’ a whole new flavor to the country. You wanna learn some new and strange licks. Put a spin on that Spanish style guitar stuff. Mix it in with all that "indigenous amerikan crap".. the, don’t wanna take no risk music producing old guard is still churrning out. Mix languages, and hell…think of those different beats and percussion instruments the Hispanics play. You’ll make money so big you’ll have to roll it up like carpet. Now flip that around in your head for a while like a Rubik’s cube.

This is absolutely, IMO, the best online source to learn how to play guitar, as they have over 35 teachers who each have their own style, they are cheap but have high quality videos, and great support.

They teach you many genres and have many different songs to choose from. Best of all they start you from the absolute beginning if you need it. I LOVE this site!

To learn the guitar, Jamorama is the only way to go. I wasted so much time and money getting lessons that it makes me feel ill. I started dreading those boring lessons. Jamorama was a game changer for me. The guitar is fun again. Just copy the link in below into your browser. Highly recommended.
